Aileen Robertson

Aileen Robertson opened her School in Ayr after winning the World Championship over 30 years ago.
Aileen started dancing at the age of seven from which she continued her career by winning every major championship title in Scotland including the British Open, United Kingdom and Commonwealth. She also won the mid Canada championship in Winnipeg. The highlight of her career was winning the World Championship three times, the junior title in 1972 and the adult in 1974 and 1976. Aileen also won the Oscar award for champion of champions.
Aileen is a fellow and examiner of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (SDTA) and was taught by Elspeth Strathern. She is a life member of the BATD, a member of the UKA and is on the worldwide panel of adjudicators.
Aileen is head delegate to the SOBHD representing FUSTA and is on the registration committee of the SOBHD. She is a delegate on the technical committee representing the SDTA.
Aileen has a successful dancing school based in Ayr and has formed the Ailsa Craig Highland Dance group. The Robertson school have had many successes in choreography as well as training pupils to world class level. Aileen has choreographed for tattoos in Basel, Zurich, Berlin, Virginia and Las Vegas.
Aileen was appointed Dance Director of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2014.

Eilidh McMillan

Eilidh is a Fellow and Examiner of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance and was honoured to be invited to dance at the 75th Anniversary Dinner of the SDTA.
Eilidh started dancing at the age of 3 and was taught by her mother Aileen Robertson. She is a three time Champion of Champions; receiving the Oscar award from the SOBHD.
She is an eleven time United Kingdom Champion and also holds British Open, Commonwealth, Scottish, Northern Canadian, and North American titles. In her competitive career she won 90 Championship titles in the Junior & Adult classes.
Eilidh placed many times in the top 6 in the World Championships in all three Categories; qualifying nine years in a row. In 1998 she won the Scottish Championship at Cowal and placed 4th in the Juvenile World Championship at the age of 12.
Her main triumph was being awarded 5th place in the Adult World Championship and gaining the award for the top Scottish Dancer in the World Championship in 1996.
Eilidh is on the Highland Committee of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance and is a Delegate of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing representing Australia.
She is an Adjudicator on the SOBHD Worldwide Panel of Judges.
Eilidh still performs in International Military Tattoos and has danced in Las Vegas, Virginia, Berlin, Zurich and Basel. She holds the position of Dance Captain of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Dance Company.
Eilidh assists at the Aileen Robertson School of Dancing in Ayr, Crosshill and Coylton and is Principle of the Girvan Branch.
